Attempts at Pain Management - Medical Illustration, Human Anatomy Drawing
This stock medical exhibit demonstrates surgical attempts at pain management. The images on the left portray the tunneling of a catheter subcutaneously from the epidural space to the anterior chest wall, where it is connected to a port to be used for administration of drug therapy. The images on the right convey a similar procedure, with the exception that a morphine pump is connected to the catheter as opposed to a port.
